Bluegrass Care Navigators honored with two national awards

Bluegrass Care Navigators continues to earn national recognition for its Expert. Connected. Care. The agency, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2018, has been named a 2018 Hospice Honors recipient and a Modern Healthcare “Best Places to Work” for the second consecutive year.

Hospice Honors is a prestigious program that recognizes hospices providing the highest level of quality as measured from the caregiver’s point of view. The honor is presented by HEALTHCAREfirst, the leading provider of web-based home health and hospice software, billing and coding services and advanced analytics, and the agency has earned the recognition for seven consecutive years.

“We are excited to recognize the 2018 Hospice Honors recipients for their hard work and dedication to providing exceptional care,” said J. Kevin Porter of HEALTHCAREfirst. “I congratulate Bluegrass Care Navigators on its success in achieving this highest of honors.”

“As we mark our 40th anniversary this year, we are proud that consumers and patients feel we are one of the best in the country,” said Liz Fowler, President and CEO, Bluegrass Care Navigators. “We are fortunate anytime we are recognized for our work, but this award means so much because it directly reflects how the families we serve feel about our work.”

Separately, Modern Healthcare honored Bluegrass Care Navigators for the second consecutive year, naming it one of its “Best Places to Work.” This annual national award recognizes companies that continuously strive to improve their work environment and increase employee engagement, satisfaction and retention through innovative changes in the workplace. Based on employees’ input, the award honors health care workplaces that empower their employees to provide patients and customers with the best possible care and services.

“We strive to create an environment where employees can be their best, as part of our mission to deliver expert, connected care to our patients and families," added Fowler. “We are fortunate to work with highly dedicated and caring staff. This award will allow us to continue recruiting the best and brightest clinicians and administrators to move our mission forward.
