BCN Career Stories

Autumn Wilson

Working at BCN is the Best. Decision. Ever.

Autumn Wilson says that working for Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) is the best decision she ever made. Not only does she appreciate the patient-centered care that BCN provides, but she also appreciates the family-first atmosphere that BCN promotes. After coming to work for BCN almost a year ago, she has been able to spend more time with her family and now feels that she can be truly present when she is with them.

Claudette Wicker

Nurse Supervisor

My "Why" for going into nursing was to be a Nurse Midwife. I only wanted to work as a Labor and Delivery nurse, then go back to school to get my degree in Midwifery. Then I found a job as a Psychiatric nurse and thought... hey, this is not so bad, and I loved that job and the experience I gained.

Felicia Neely

Staff Nurse

I started at Bluegrass Care Navigators in December of 2020 as a CNA. When I started, I never saw myself going completely into nursing because nurses didn't seem to get a lot of time with their patients. I loved being a CNA, but I thought 100 times over I wanted to be a grief counselor.

Pam Rowe

Intake Specialist

After working as a Child Protective Services and Foster Care Social Worker for years, I was ready for a change of pace. I had been looking for a new position for a while, but nothing seemed to work out. That is, until the Community Engagement Position found me. I had honestly given up on finding a new position and was searching for a location to host a foster parent training when I encountered the open position of Community Engagement Coordinator in Cynthiana.

Korinne Rolf

Clinical Educator

I like working for BCN because of the community feeling. I consider the people I work with to be my work family. I think this is because I work so closely with so many people on so many different tasks and we all get along very well. We all support each other because we all have the same goal in mind: to provide the best care possible to our patients and families.

Beth Mosier

Hospice Chaplain

When I first became a Chaplain, my first job was as a Hospice Chaplain. I absolutely loved it. I loved being with people when it really mattered, hearing their stories of what they had learned throughout their lives, how they had ridden in horse drawn carriages and watched technology change from phones tethered to walls to our cell phones we have now. I watched as people who were the loves of each other’s lives said goodbye in the sweetest of ways, knowing that love never dies.

Alex Thurman

I began working for Bluegrass Care Navigators in 2012 working in DME as a Pharmacy Delivery Driver. I was drawn to Bluegrass Care Navigators as I had numerous family members who had been taken care of by BCN and knew that I wanted to be able to provide the same compassionate care that my family was shown. For 3 years, I worked directly with patients, delivering equipment and medication to their homes as well as the inpatient units.
